Welcome to Sterling Express Ltd.
We are Northwest Indiana's Premium Flatbed, LTL and Just-in-Time
Carrier.
Sterling Express Ltd. was founded in October, 1984 by Maro and Elisabeth
Allen. Prior to that the Allen's had been in the steel hauling business as
truck owners, motor carrier agents, and Mr. Allen was formerly
Vice-President of the Sterling Transport Division of Cooper-Jarret. In 1993
the team was joined by the Allen's son Maro Allen Jr. This brought about
the capability of combining Old School Thinking with Today's Modern
Technology. The businesses success has been brought about by a
continued commitment to On-Time Service and Quality Material Handling
Our ICC Authority as a common and contract carrier gives us the right to
serve 48 states. We primarily focus on the States east of the Mississippi
River, but also have regular LTL lanes in the Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas
area. On certain occasions we have adventured to California and
Washington state on special commodity runs.
